Group Summary
The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role
Coordinates and encourages all WCM and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manages Six Sigma, Lean as well as Industrial Engineering resources to support Decostar’s improvement initiatives and strategic goals.
Your Responsibilities
Provides strategic direction, leadership, support and decision making to ensure successful application of continuous improvement concepts, including Lean Enterprise, Six Sigma, Layouts and Material flow.
Assists Decostar Managers through soliciting and reviewing functional area continuous improvement plans and activities to maintain and improve overall plant continuous improvement results. Provides feedback.
Administers Six Sigma Green Belt training and certification.
Facilitates management updates and communication on all WCM and activities.
Provides industrial engineering resources.
Manage Standardized Work Process and Kaizen events.
Leads and participates in customer lean and MAFACT assessments.
Performs all supervisory tasks for direct reports: Engineering resources, Kaizen Facilitators, Standardized Work Auditors, and skilled Fabrication Team
Ensures department compliance with all safety, quality, environmental and BOS policies and procedures.
Supports cost reduction and innovation idea programs (V.O.I.C.E).
Other duties as assigned.

Who we are looking for
Five years automotive experience; two years manufacturing experience; one year continuous work experience.
Experience leading to working knowledge of manufacturing processes and plant operations, project management experience involving responsibility for planning timing and milestones and fiscal control, and supervisory experience or position in which leadership skills have been demonstrated.
Experience and demonstrated performance in implementing lean manufacturing and Six Sigma improvements.
Must have excellent problem solving, computer, and math / statistics skills.
Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities with moderate stress tolerance.
Must have the ability to translate customer requirements to Decostar’s operational environment.
Must have the ability to conduct optimization analyses.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must display a positive attitude
Must display a high energy level and an ability to positively invigorate a work group
Your preferred qualifications
Required - BS – Engineering or Engineering Discipline
Preferred - Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or higher
Preferred - BS in Industrial Engineering or Industrial Technology
