Group Summary

The Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.

About the Role

This position reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below

Your Responsibilities

• To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions.

Who we are looking for

• Participation in the feasibility check – in cooperation with APQP engineers

• Coordinating and tracking the ECRs from customer and preparation all the inputs for commercial evaluation to support the APQP team

• Responsible for holding weekly Change management reviews with CFT and report out on weekly progress

• Participation in the 2D data review (drawings preparation) – in cooperation with Decostar APQP team

• Ability to create visual metrics from raw data

• Must have automotive Engineering or Operational experience in material flow and understanding Bill of Materials

• Blueprint / GD&T - Fundamental experience

• Have ability and willingness to understand the Tools and configurations around CAD Tool launch process.

• Have good understanding of IT processes, systems tools configuration

• Experience in Power BI is a plus Review customer work statements and other proposal data to specify and coordinate proposal input from other departments (Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, etc) within the organization.

• Insert proposal details into the required customer quotation response format(s) ensuring 100% accuracy of calculations, appropriateness, and completeness of content.

• Maintain analysis of estimated versus actual costs.

• Assist in development and improvement of manufacturing processes including value engineering.

• Assist in updating and maintaining customer electronic change request management system and electronic tool location tracking.

Your preferred qualifications

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken

• Excellent organizational, problem solving and decision making skills, negotiating skills along with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in automotive field

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification from an accredited college or technical trade school required.
