Element Materials Technology Prototype Build Technician in Carmel, Indiana

Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Prototype Build Technician to join our rapidly expanding team.As a member of the team, the Prototype Build Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision. The technician positions must be proficient in a number of core business skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to maintain system programming bench for ECU reflashing.

  • Maintain system process and checkout procedures for programming automotive imaging radars/sensors for Advanced Driver Assistance Programs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve automotive radar/sensors issues at bench level.

  • Support troubleshooting automotive radars/sensors issues at vehicle level as needed.

  • Work with other engineering competencies to ensure proper development, execution and verification of automotive sensor ECU’s and radar.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Must have basic computer skills using Microsoft Excel and Outlook/Email.

  • Must have an Electrical/Mechanical aptitude.

  • Must be able to work 1st shift 8am-4pm-Monday-Friday.

  • Able to follow test procedures.

  • Experience with CAN, Flexray, Ethernet, or any Communication Protocol is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with CANalyzer/CANape or CANoe is preferred but not required.

  • Must have High School Diploma or associate degree in Electronics or Computer Science.

  • Must have 1-3+ years of Electronics/Electrical or Computer experience.

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and be able to complete a background check and drug test.
