PulteGroup Area Manager (Title) in Carmel, Indiana

Job SummaryThe Area Manager – Escrow is responsible for overseeing, planning, directing and controlling all business functions of PGP Title, Inc. (a Pulte Homes subsidiary company) and its affiliated companies, along with supervising the Settlement/Escrow functions within specific Divisions/Area.

Although this position is based in Carmel, Indiana, candidates may be located elsewhere but must be able to commute to the office as needed.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain financial forecasts, plans and budgets.

  • Manage adherence to Company policies.

  • Prepare and oversee projects and coordinate changes to the company as required by the Area.

  • Monitor and Supervise Branch Manager/direct reports Settlement/Escrow functions for quality assurance.

  • Set- up and conduct 1 on 1 call with Branch Manager/direct reports. Meetings will include KPI metrics: including but not limited to – Builder outlook, volume, financial results, capture results, quality metrics (CQE/NPS) results for the prior month, mentor for appreciation or course correction as necessary.

  • Participate in Market Analysis, including both Title Insurance and Escrow fees.

  • Participate in monthly operation/PGP Area meetings.

  • Be available to assist the QA and Legal Departments during internal and external annual audits

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with Pulte Homes, Pulte Mortgage, Pulte Insurance Agency and Premier Land Title Insurance Co. Additionally, establish channels of continued updates and communication with VP of Operations and other PGP Executives.

Required Education/Experience

  • Minimum High School diploma or equivalent required

  • Bachelors Degree in business or a related field preferred

  • Minimum 3-5 years escrow operations experience OR mortgage/builder operation leadership.

  • Minimum 2 years at a supervisory level or above

  • Specialize in RESPA with understanding of company's underwriting guidelines

  • Experience with annual budgeting process and analysis of profit and loss statements to drive financial performance

  • Experience supervising multiple mid-level managers and handling Human Resources tasks including; hiring, terminations, performance plans, leaves of absence, etc.

  • Developing and leading strategic projects and tracking results

Required Licensing, Registration and/or Certifications

  • Notary Public preferred (required in some states)

  • Escrow Officer/Title Producer license may be required

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • Effective communication, presentation, and organization skills

  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships

  • Ability to supervise and lead multiple team members in multiple locations

  • General knowledge of real estate law and title escrow curative procedures

  • General understanding of State specific requirements related to title and escrow operations
