Description

We are looking for a Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant to join our client based in Carlsbad, California. This role involves providing support to their legal team, including one partner and one associate, and will be fully on-site!

Responsibilities:

• Handle e-filing and calendaring tasks efficiently.

• Draft and send out correspondence as required.

• Create and maintain client files, ensuring all necessary information is updated and accessible.

• Facilitate communication between attorneys and clients, relaying information as necessary.

• Schedule depositions as required by the legal team.

• Understand and navigate the litigation process, including court filings.

• Use your basic litigation background to support the legal team.

Requirements

• Proficient in e-Filing systems

• Experience in calendaring and scheduling depositions and other deadlines

• Ability to compose correspondence with high attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills for client interactions

• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Large plus to have experience in med mal
