Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Onsite Support Technician to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will provide hands-on support for our internal desktop systems, ensuring all hardware and software function seamlessly to support our business operations. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues, managing IT inventory, and assisting in the deployment and maintenance of desktop infrastructure. Responsibilities:

Provide first and second-level support for all desktop, software, and hardware issues within the organization.

Install, configure, and maintain personal computers, Windows/Mac/ operating systems, office software, email, and other applications.

Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, email, and peripheral equipment problems; make repairs and corrections where required.

Act as a liaison between users and higher-level support teams, ensuring effective communication and quick resolution of issues.

Conduct hardware and software inventory database maintenance and reporting.

Assist with the setup of new employees, including desktop configuration, software installation, and email account creation.

Ensure security and privacy protocols are followed to protect systems and data.

Provide training and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.

Stay current with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support.

Requirements:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

1-3 years of experience in desktop support or a related field.

Strong understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.

Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other common desktop applications.

Knowledge of network connectivity, VPNs, and security practices.

Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

This position has an onsite requirement, 5 days per week.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to explain technical details to non-technical staff.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Equipment movement, asset inventory

A commitment to delivering high-quality support and continuous improvement.

Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
