Heavy equipment Mechanic needed
Keen Transport is currently seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic* *at our Carlisle, PA facility!
Work hours primarily are Monday through Friday first shift.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- You'll work on heavy equipment that requires a high level of skill.
- Working knowledge of all welding techniques including but not limited to: gas, arc, mig, and tig techniques.
- Must be able to read welding and assembly drawings and blueprints with sufficient understanding to produce, fabricate, or assemble to complete the assigned job..
- Use of tools including but not limited to: Saw, Drill Press, Grinder, Punch Press, Press Brake, and Track Burning Equip.
- Use of measuring equipment including but not limited to: Rulers, Calipers, Micrometers, Machinist Scale
- Ability to identify base metals including steel, steel, cast iron, aluminum, copper, brass, and bronze
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Ability to Weld various metals and pass an AWS welding test
- Ability to understand blueprints, CAD drawing, Schematics
- Able to work proficiently with hand and power tools.
- Must be able to exercise good judgment, pay attention to detail, and follow safety policies and procedures. Good mechanical aptitude; able to maintain service and safety records. Must have experience Welding, and Hydraulic systems, Hydrostatic systems, Electrical systems, Fuel Systems, Engines (Diesel) system diagnosis.

- Must be organized, able to interact with coworkers and able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with competing demands
- Valid driver's license.
- Able to work overtime as required by job and customer demand.
- Physical requirements must be met for the Heavy Equipment Mechanic job, including the ability to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 100 pounds, including bulky objects. This position requires repeated reaching, standing, stooping, kneeling, bending, and climbing, onto and under a variety of heavy equipment
Must be able to work outside in inclement weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, dampness and humidity -- less than %30 of the time.
