We are seeking a RN Nurse Supervisor for our Residential Care wing to provide leadership and clinical oversight for all nursing related operations during the scheduled shift.

RN Nurse Supervisor Primary Responsibilities:

• In the absence of the Director of Residential Care, functions as the primary professional nurse for the unit

• Supervises, implements and monitors the quality and quantity of care provided following accepted nursing standards, regulations, and MVH policy, in order to insure that the highest quality care is provided.

• Provides direction/counseling/training on job performance; ensures that department staff are competent in their performance and practice within their scope of licensure and job descriptions; completes disciplinary actions/commendations according to policy/procedure in a fair/consistent manner, and makes recommendations for retention/discharge of subordinates.

• Monitors and evaluates shift routines and makes adjustments as needed; and assists staff in identifying and solving nursing care problems.

Required Experience:

• Current unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Maine

• Knowledge of regulations for residential care preferred
