The Cape Girardeau, Missouri Branch of Leggett & Platt is currently looking for an experience Maintenance Mechanic to join their team! This position will work a set 8 hour shift M-F. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, installing, maintaining and repairing plant machinery, equipment, and physical structures. We are also looking for individuals with a strong electrical background and/or training as an electrician.
Job Duties include:
Repairing industrial equipment
Replacing glands and seals in pumping equipment
Analyzing equipment and machinery malfunctions, determining the appropriate procedure and performing repairs
Installing and maintaining machinery
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems
Performing preventative maintenance functions
Performing plant start up and shut down procedures
Education and Experience:
Highschool Diploma or GED
Five (5) years of experience in industrial maintenance, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with 480/ three phase required.
Experience with electrical systems preferred.
Experience or Training in the Following Perferred:
Use, interpretation and development of hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical drawings
Installation and maintenance of electronic devices including flow meters, encoders, servo motors, sensors, photo eyes, etc
Use and interpretation of architectural and mechanical prints and drawings
