As the Internal Auditor , you will conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits by examining and verifying accounting, statistical, or operational records and/or procedures of internal organizations to determine the reliability and effectiveness of financial internal control systems. Examines records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies. Prepares reports of findings and recommendations to management. May support divisions and subsidiaries in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (not limited to duties as described – performs related duties as requested)

· Audits internal organizations to determine the reliability and effectiveness of financial internal control systems.

· Examines records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies.

· Prepares audit and executive reports of findings and recommendations to management. May support divisions and subsidiaries in evaluating and recommending improvements to business practices, processes, and control procedures.

· Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, outstanding organizational and analytical skills, as well as a strong customer service orientation.

· Promote value and recommendations including efficiency, best-practice initiatives, and cost-savings opportunities.

· Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics as well as ability to use appropriate judgment and discretion.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (or equivalent)

3-5 years with Bachelor Degree in Accounting/Finance or a combination of education and pertinent and directly related experience, especially in government contracting.

LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS:

Ability to obtain professional certifications - CPA, CIA, CFE, or CMA within 2 years of hire.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

· Familiarity with and/or application of basic accounting/auditing principles, theories, and concepts.

· Familiarity with industry practices and standards; including strong knowledge of reporting platforms and audit tools such as DigilentOne, Highbond, etc.

· Strong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.

Travel:

Up to 25% - Must be willing to deploy overseas on short notice for extended work assignments to perform project audits.

Security Clearance:

MUST BE A US CITIZEN AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A DOD CLEARANCE
