About Us: Palo Duro Retirement Village is a premier senior living community located in Canyon, TX, dedicated to providing quality care and support to our residents. We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director/Manager to lead our community, ensuring the highest standards of service, comfort, and well-being for our residents.
Position Summary: The Director/Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the retirement village, including management of staff, budget, and resident services. This individual will ensure a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all residents and will work to maintain and improve the overall quality of life within the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the retirement village, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure effective operation and high-quality care for residents.
- Oversee staffing, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Manage the financial aspects of the retirement village, including budget development, financial reporting, and expense control.
- Work closely with residents and their families to ensure satisfaction and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, vendors, and community partners.
- Ensure the facility is properly maintained, safe, and comfortable for residents and staff.
- Plan and implement programs and activities that enhance residents' quality of life.
- Regularly assess residents' needs and ensure they are met with appropriate services and care.
- Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to continuously improve operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, gerontology, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 yearof experience in a leadership or management role within senior living, healthcare, or a related field.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing retirement communities.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and dedicated to improving the lives of senior residents.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, including residents, families, staff, and community partners.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
