Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Facilities plays a pivotal role in leading the operational excellence of multiple service lines within the facility. Collaborating closely with various departments, this role ensures the seamless functioning of the POM Department, Environmental Services Department, Grounds, and Maintenance Department. The incumbent will contribute to policy formulation, operational direction, and uphold standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently coordinate POM activities in alignment with other departments, fostering a cohesive operational environment

  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to simplify departmental operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and organizational objectives

  • Mentor and support staff, promoting an environment of growth and innovation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Conduct regular facility inspections to uphold quality control measures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary

  • Assist in the development and revision of annual budgets, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effective operations

  • Maintain direct communication with administration, clients, and vendors, addressing their needs promptly and effectively

  • Responsible for the maintenance and security of company capital assets, using CMMS programs to ensure optimal functionality and longevity

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Hold a Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • Experience in facilities management or related field, with a focus on leadership and departmental planning

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, safety protocols, and industry practices

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

  • Proficiency in budget management and facility management software

  • Ability to flourish in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and drive continuous improvement initiatives
