Job Description

This role is similar to a construction position rather than traditional assembly. You will be virtually constructing steel buildings, including large 40-foot-tall structural steel housing units. The work involves assembling metal wall panels to a metal frame, cutting and installing insulation, and installing metal sheets, doors, and other sub-components to the structure. You will work in a small team of 3-6 people, using tape measures, squares, overhead cranes, and JIBB cranes to ensure precise assembly. The job requires working on step stools, ladders, and being on your feet for most of the day, lifting up to 50 lbs repetitively.

Responsibilities

• Assemble metal wall panels to a metal frame

• Cut and install insulation to the wall panels

• Install metal sheets to wall panels

• Install metal doors and other sub-components to the structure

• Use tape measures and squares to ensure accurate assembly

• Utilize prints, drawings, and work instructions to build structures

• Operate overhead cranes and JIBB cranes to move large pieces of steel

• Maintain specific tolerance measurements

• Complete assemblies within goal hours

• Keep work area clean

• Assist with training new employees

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mechanic tasks, hand tools, and power tools

• Ability to repair and assemble mechanical components

• Skill in reading and interpreting schematics and technical drawings

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Canton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
