Summary / Role Purpose The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist works closely with all business units to perform a hybrid of ISSO/ISSE functions and function as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in DoD cybersecurity policies and NIST 800-171 controls. The Senior Cybersecurity Specialist will lead and perform validation of all required documentation of the current environment to ensure key NIST and DoD controls are applied where applicable. They will apply knowledge from multiple security disciplines into an accreditation packages for delivery to the Director of Cybersecurity's review and approval. They will function as a technical liaison to the various business units to ensure all enclaves are following patching and configuration requirements as defined in approved System Security Plans (SSPs) and corporate guidance. They also provide support as needed during surge operations for patching and remediation to ensure the company's network and data is protected.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Perform random and scheduled vulnerability and compliance scans as required by policy or Corporate Internal Audit and Compliance

Track and report the status of all vulnerabilities and non-compliant configurations to the Director of Cybersecurity and various stakeholders

Work closely with all AGI business units to obtain all required information, documentation, processes and material as it pertains to NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53 accreditation requirements

Document and track all progress of all approved Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M's) for resolution

Knowledge and understanding of cyber defense tools for continual monitoring and analysis of system activity to identify malicious activity.

Provide Configuration Management (CM) recommendations for security-relevant information system software, hardware, and firmware

Perform risk analysis (e.g., threat, vulnerability, and probability of occurrence) whenever an application or system undergoes a major change.

Assist in the monitoring of alerts and manage security toolsets: SIEM, endpoint/malware security, vulnerability scanning (incl. application and databases), firewalls, multi-factor authentication, remote access, third party hosting center.

Perform ISSO/ISSE functions on United States Government (USG) accredited systems

Be the SME on all accreditation documentation required for various USG programs

Maintain, administer and operate Nessus Security Center and Tenable One

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology from an accredited college/university or related work experience

Minimum of two (2) years of actively supporting cyber security in a DoD enterprise environment

Minimum five (5) years performing ISSO/ISSE functions

Compliant with DoD IAT Level II DoD TS/SCI Clearances required (or the ability and willingness to obtain them)

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Experience preparing and briefing leadership

Detail oriented with a strong written communication skill

Competent with a proven work history of writing and attaining government compliance and policy certifications (NIST 800-171 and NIST 800-53).

Current technical understanding of hardware and software technology

Organizational, communication, prioritization, and time management skills.

Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong customer relationship management skills to include training for the user base.

Can present information to groups

Competent with a proven work history of working with Threat Intelligence.

Competent with a proven work history of working with and selecting/building security tools (SIEM, vulnerability scanning, firewalls, etc.)
