Robert Half Payroll Systems Consultant in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll Systems Taxation Consultant. This role involves auditing payroll setups, improving payroll procedures, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed audits of payroll configurations within ADP systems.

• Analyze payroll setups and propose enhancements for improved compliance and efficiency.

• Evaluate and revise existing payroll processing standard operating procedures for process streamlining and tax compliance.

• Propose and implement changes aimed at improving payroll accuracy and efficiency.

• Manage third-party tax processing notifications through ADP Smart Compliance.

• Resolve tax processing issues to prevent future penalties.

• Provide expert advice on necessary forms and documentation for employees to ensure proper local taxation.

• Assist in the completion and submission of necessary tax forms.

• Review compliance for local income withholding, state unemployment, and state income tax.

• Advise on reciprocal agreements for remote employees, ensuring tax obligations are met and appropriate tax withholding is facilitated.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Payroll Systems Consulting

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP - Payroll systems

• Comprehensive understanding of Department SOP's

• Demonstrated experience in Audit, Audit - Information Systems, and Audit - Operational

• Knowledge of Payroll Tax Reporting and Payroll Taxes

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is required

• Familiarity with Certified Payroll systems

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field would be advantageous.
