Windows Software Engineer

Canonsburg, PA

Contract Position

$57.20-$72.41/Hour

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design, develop, test, and integrate software applications, components, and resolve system issues through debugging and diagnostics.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets performance requirements for deployment.
  • Document the software development lifecycle, including test plans, design documentation, and maintaining design requirements.

Qualifications:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Clearance: Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years with a Master's degree.
    • Proficiency with Embedded C/C++, Object-Oriented Development, and Windows application development (e.g., Win32, WPF, WinUI 3).
    • Experience with National Instruments LabWindows/CVI, MATLAB, SQL/SQL Server, and Windows/Visual Studio.
    • Strong understanding of software design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP) and Windows kernel-level debugging using tools like WinDBG or Windows DDK.
    • Experience in DevOps concepts, including version control, branching strategies, and automation for build, test, and deployment.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Expertise in Windows low-level systems development and API integration.
    • Familiarity with agile/lean principles in software development.
    • Applied experience in technical architecture decisions for complex products.
