Position: Lead Clerk - Motor Vehicle

Duties: * Assists with limited supervision of motor vehicle operations and staff. * Performs a variety of complex technical work in titling and registering of motor vehicles, ensures effective customer service and compliance with statutory mandates from the State of Colorado, Department of Revenue. * Works closely with Motor Vehicle employees on titling and registration issues, creates a supportive environment allowing staff collaboration, teamwork and professional development through initial and ongoing training on essential functions. * Assumes responsibility of all Motor Vehicle functions in the absence of the Chief Deputy and Clerk and Recorder. * Performs accounting functions for all Divisions of the Clerk s Office.

Requirements: * High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * Three (3) years of work experience in the Motor Vehicle Division of the Clerk and Recorder s Office.

Other Requirements: * Valid and current Colorado Driver s License. * Pass a CBI background check for Elections Division. * May need to pass a National background if VPN access is granted for Motor Vehicle records. * Election Certification from Colorado Secretary of the State.

Wage: $23.84 per hour

Shift: Full time, 40 hours per week

Job Site: Canon City, CO
