Department Details

This position will work full time Monday-Thursday and will have very Friday off! The hours for this position are 30-40 hours/week with full-time benefits available! No call, no weekends, no holidays!

Job Summary

Provides professional dental assisting care for patients of all ages following established standards and practices. Excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Teamwork is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members. Responsible for performing all dental assisting duties in accordance with the rules and regulations of the state specific Board of Dentistry. Knowledge and ability to perform clinical emergency procedures. Ability to implement policies, procedures and treatment guidelines. Assist providers directly in all phases of dental care delivery. Knowledge to properly maintain patient care related equipment, supplies and processes. Ability to use appropriate systems, automated or manual, to maintain accurate patient records and other information. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, dental staff and the public. Ability to communicate clearly. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Dental staff are expected to know and will be held accountable for following infection prevention and control policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of dental assisting.

One year of professional dental assisting experience preferred.

Must be a registered dental assistant in the State of Minnesota. Must meet continuing education requirements for state licensure.
