Job Description:

  1. Quality Management System (QMS) Development:
  • Lead the development and documentation of quality control processes for the renewables division in compliance with ISO 9001:2015.

  • Establish and implement quality policies, procedures, and standards to drive continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.

  • Develop ISO 9001:2015 from the ground up , rather than maintaining an existing system.

    1. Quality Assurance, Process Control & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
  • Develop and enforce checks and balances to prevent, identify, and address quality issues before they impact customers or internal processes.

  • Conduct internal audits and gap analyses to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality metrics to ensure adherence to established benchmarks.

  • Lead the creation, implementation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and efficiency across all operations.

    1. Liaison Between Operations & Customers:
  • Serve as the key point of contact between operations and customers regarding quality concerns.

  • Lead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective action plans (CAPA) to address non-conformities and prevent recurrence.

  • Communicate quality control strategies and expectations to internal teams and external stakeholders.

    1. Collaboration & Training:
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and procurement teams to integrate quality assurance into all aspects of operations.

  • Provide training and support to employees on quality management best practices, ISO 9001:2015 requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Promote a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization.

    1. Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
  • Stay current with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory updates related to quality control.

  • Recommend and implement Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce defects, and ensure product consistency.

  • Oversee documentation and reporting to maintain transparency and accountability in all quality-related activities.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in implementing ISO 9001:2015 from inception, not just maintaining an existing system.

  • Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.

  • Lean and Six Sigma training and experience is a plus.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities to drive a quality-focused culture.

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably within the renewables sector.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

    Travel Requirements:

  • Travel (possibly twice a month) will be required to maintain consistency between three integration plants, including Canal Fulton, OH, Rock Hill, SC, and Colorado Springs, CO.

  • Additional travel may be required for vendor audits, trade shows and professional development.
