Our client is a government body located in Campbell, CA looking to hire an experienced Staff Accountant (Senior Account Clerk). This job is temp to hire or perm for the right candidate.

• LOCATION: 100% onsite in Campbell

• DURATION: Temp to Hire or Direct Hire

• PAY: $40.00 - $45.00

• SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of support functions including data entry, record keeping, proofreading and report generation.

• Manage general accounting for payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable and fixed assets.

• Prepares, maintains, and verifies accounting, financial and statistical records.

• Gathers, assembles, enters, checks, balances, adjusts, and records financial data.

• Codes entries according to established accounting procedures.

• Resolve discrepancies and maintains various files and records.

• Receives payments, issues receipts, deposits payments and applies cash to accounts.

• Managing aging schedule and perform collection duties.

• Process employee requests for reimbursements and advances

• Manage and execute payroll deductions, garnishments, union dues and pension benefits.

• Reconcile statements and ledgers.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
