Job Title: Manual Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team. You will be responsible for using manual measuring devices and techniques to ensure proper sizing. The role involves performing milling operations such as drilling, tapping, boring, and conventional milling and lathe work using various engine lathes, including horizontal and vertical mills and horizontal boring mills. You will balance mechanical assemblies using dynamic balancing equipment and perform metalizing (metal spraying) and spray welding techniques as needed. Additionally, you will set up and perform tool-post grinding operations, broaching procedures, and various welding operations, including MIG, TIG, torch, and stick welding. Ensuring output consistency with specifications and performing machine maintenance and repairs are also part of the role.

This is a permanent position.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

Work Environment

Shop atmosphere with exposure to loud noises, dirt, and temperature variations (cold in winter, hot in summer). First shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm with flexibility when necessary. Initial shift on the first day starts at 8am. Pay ranges from $25-$30. Flexible hours available based on performance. Candidates must provide their own steel-toed boots and hand tools. Uniforms are provided upon employment and possibly during the probationary period. Jeans and appropriate shirts are required. Reporting to the department supervisor, you will work collaboratively with others in your department.
