Position Summary

Supports Parts Accounting Manager with the Fixed Operations (Parts) supply chain and financial accounting, reporting and analysis, business support, and annual budget and quarterly forecasts in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) accounting standards, policies and procedures, and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls. Serves in a key role supporting the business with projects, decisions, exceptions, and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Performs accounting close responsibilities including but not limited to journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, SOX controls, review and analysis of account activity, reviews, and research to ensure accuracy and completeness under deadlines and in compliance with IFRS and accounting policies.

  • Prepares monthly account reconciliations and variance analysis between actual financial performance and financial projections.

  • Develops, prepares, and presents financial reports and presentations using visual charts to help achieve effective financial reviews.

  • Develops financial budget and forecasts, schedules, and presentations by partnering with business stakeholders and leveraging thorough understanding of revenue and cost drivers; analyzes and reports variances of actuals to budget and forecasts.

  • Maintains responsibility for SOX internal control design and operational effectiveness, assists with mitigation of deficiencies and weakness, and performs updates due to business, process, and system changes.

  • Monitors, controls, and supports inventory activity including review and validation of parts purchase price changes, completes inventory average cost updates, prepares cycle count reports and reviews activity and adjustments, and supports warehouse network with inventory management.

  • Reviews and reports expense and works closely with stakeholders and budget owners to monitor spending against budget and forecast; ensures accurate expense recording and forecasts.

  • Supports cross-functional team members and contributes to projects and issue resolution. Applies understanding of the business, accounting, processes, and IT systems to identify solutions that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and control.

  • Coordinates with the Logistics Group and Distribution team members to analyze, detect, and resolve exceptions in inbound and outbound transportation transactions and claims. Evaluates carrier performance, cost reduction, and process improvement.

  • Conducts transportation study by mode of transportation and then utilizes the model for revenue recognition.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Utilizes math, critical thinking, and technical skills combined with knowledge of accounting standards to gather and analyze data, develop creative analysis to identify opportunities, address issues, and identify solutions.

  • Leverages existing and new systems to improve processes, gain efficiencies, and enhance business and financial insights.

  • Utilizes visual reporting, dashboards, and presentations to effectively share insights and reports.

  • Works on other assigned tasks and projects.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge and experiences in application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or Internal Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and SOX

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis in compliance with accounting standards and policies.

  • Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills to identify and develop solutions to issues and business change, as well as a drive for continuous improvement.

  • Ability to work with and analyze large volumes of data and manage system data constraints.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under deadlines.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products including expert knowledge in Excel.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees within Accounting Department and other business departments.

  • Experience working with Oracle or other ERP system, BI tool, and OneStream or other EPM system.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; Bachelor’s degree in Finance will be considered with demonstrated, relevant, equivalent 4- 6 years of working experience and technical accounting knowledge.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.

  • At least five (5) years of work experience in accounting.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

  • Travel Required: Minimal

Compensation: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $67,900 - 90,000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. (P2).
