TECHNICAL ASSOCIATE IN NANOELECTRONIC DEVICES, NANO CYBERNETIC-BIOTREK, Media Lab, to fill an opening in Professor Deblina Sarkar’s research group at MIT for a Technical Associate with developed background in electronic device physics. Will be involved in developing optically actuated devices for wireless brain stimulation; design and develop new nanoelectronic devices for biomedical applications; perform simulations to optimize the device; perform micro- and nano- fabrication using small tools to make electronic devices using cleanroom facilities and perform device characterization; and explore applications of these devices for biomedical implants.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelors or M.S or PhD in electrical/electronic engineering, physics, materials science, bio/mechanical/chemical engineering or relevant field; robust background in solid state physics and electronic devices (e.g. diodes/transistors/band diagrams); interest in optoelectronics (photovoltaic devices) and biomedical implants, though no experience is needed in either optoelectronics or biomedicine; and a minimum of two years of specialized lab experience, which may include experience gained as an undergraduate or graduate, in design, simulation or fabrication of electronic devices (e.g. diodes/transistors/photovoltaic devices/MEMS or other devices). PREFERRED: Experience in micro/nano-fabrication; experience with photovoltaic devices; experience in electronic device simulations; and experience with circuit design. Job #24553
