Job Description
SENIOR SUPERVISOR, ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, Facilities-Repair and Maintenance (R&M)-Infrastructure Services, to manage assigned team(s). Will provide superior customer service; maintain all buildings and systems; provide leadership and ongoing supervision of all electrical and fire protection supervisors; and provide standby supervisory coverage on a rotating basis on weekends and holidays.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years’ experience in building operations and maintenance service; a Massachusetts’ master electrical license; supervisory experience in a repair and maintenance setting with oversight over the electrical and fire protection trades; direct experience with electrical and fire protection systems and operation and the ability to direct tradespeople in the repair and maintenance of a wide range of equipment; ability to troubleshoot and determine building issues and recommend necessary changes; ability to interact with other trade groups and coordinate building repairs; demonstrated proficiency scheduling and planning work; excellent interpersonal and written and oral communication skills; and experience with computer systems, CMMS programs, e-mail, and the internet. Must also be available for off-hours emergencies and standby supervisory coverage on a rotating basis on weekends and holidays.Working conditions: ascending/descending stairs; traversing the campus; moving about the jobsite and machinery to access equipment; remaining stationary for extended periods of time; working from ladders, scaffolds, and other above ground locations such as roofs; wearing of personal protective equipment as required by the specific assignment; exposure to dust, odors and fumes, high levels of noise, and temperature extremes; working near steam and moving machinery, in tight areas and confined spaces such as manholes and crawl spaces, and chemicals and solvents; and working in research labs and animal facilities and outdoors in inclement weather7/19/24
