    Job Description

SENIOR ASSISTANT, Audit Division, to provide comprehensive office and administrative support to the Institute auditor, management team, and division staff. Will exercise independent judgment and anticipate needs; provide comprehensive calendar management and meeting scheduling for the Institute auditor; assist with preparations for risk and audit committee meetings (in person and virtually) at least six times per year, including planning and coordinating logistics and compiling and distributing materials and related reporting; and act as a liaison between the division and a variety of organizations within and outside MIT.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: high school diploma or its equivalent; at least five years of administrative assistant or related office experience; excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and word processing skills; keen attention to detail; flexibility; good judgment and discretion with confidential/sensitive information/data; experience performing multiple projects concurrently and working with different team members; proficiency with Microsoft Office (specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Zoom, Dropbox, and Visio and willingness to learn new software (e.g., CampusPress); comfort working with hybrid-flex work environment; and support for the division’s mission in support of achieving the Institute’s objectives. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues and management at all levels and from varied backgrounds; effectively interface with external constituents at all levels; learn quickly and work within critical time demands; and problem solve and set and continuously reevaluate dependent priorities under pressure. PREFERRED: bachelor’s degree; familiarity with SAP, Tableau, and Qualtrics; familiarity with cloud-based applications; and experience in academia.
