Department Description:

CHA PACE is a Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA). CHA PACE serves adults 55 years and older with chronic medical and/or mental health difficulties with the goals of achieving the highest level of community independence and preventing nursing home placement. CHA PACE’s high functioning interdisciplinary team works to fully integrate and coordinate medical and behavioral health care, community resources, and in-home support services.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Rehab Manager, and under the general supervision of the PACE Practice Manager, the Practice Medical Receptionist assigned to the CHA PACE Rehab team performs a wide variety of administrative and support functions for the department.

These responsibilities include assisting with patient scheduling, billing, and care coordination; communicating between outside service agencies; coordinating the ordering, authorization, delivery, and assembly of medical supplies and DME; and maintaining the inventory and record-keeping of CHA PACE Rehab areas. A commitment to patient safety, customer satisfaction through clear communication, efficient use of resources, collaboration through teamwork, and performance improvement is required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred

  • Personal transportation for delivery of DME to patient homes and other locations

  • 1 year administrative experience in a medical setting and/or with geriatrics

  • Understanding of DME equipment (type, sizing, purpose, assembly) preferred

  • DME certification or training in rehabilitation/exercise-related field preferred

  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required
