Leading direct reports, group leaders and their teams, and serving clients in a laboratory setting.
Monthly meetings with each direct report, the Eurofins department, and client managers
Lead recruiting and retention efforts along with site leadership
Disseminate administrative communications
Apply the highest quality standard in all areas of responsibility
Ensures proper training of all employees to ensure safety, quality, productivity, teamwork, and client service.
Financial responsibilities as defined by the Director of the department
Demonstrate and promote the company vision by leading companywide initiatives
Proactively plan and multitask to maximize productivity
Ensure coverage, performance and adherence to all quality and productivity metrics
Lead teams, schedules, and train employees in client environment
Drives programs independently and build relationships with partners at all levels of the organization, and externally
Organize technical resources and staff to accomplish client goals within given deadlines
Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations
Assist Director and Regional Manager with business operations as needed
Stays current science and technology and consults knowledgeably with clients
Develop other leaders and foster morale and teamwork
Tracks safety, training and service metrics to ensure teams are meeting productivity and quality standards.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemistry, biology, or other science related degree concentration
Business Management education or experience preferred
5+ years of hands on related experience
Leadership experience
Scientific background with hands on laboratory experience
Strong leadership skills
A good understanding of day to day business operations
Demonstrate strong client service skills, teamwork, and collaboration
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is Full Time, First Shift with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Cambridge, MA are encouraged to apply.
