Position Summary:

We are looking for a Manager, Market Development in our Protein Diagnostics Division to direct a team that drives increased clinical utilization of our oncology products. You and your team will accomplish this as mainly a virtual sales resource - growing our business through a national, initiative-based approach. This means you'll focus on specific, customer opportunities that are prioritized based on current business needs. This role requires you to be a fully flexible leader who is willing and able to work and win with multiple initiatives, sometimes simultaneously. Priorities and initiatives can change quickly, as can your customer environment, and your ability to adapt to deliver maximum growth for the organization will be important to your success in role.

As a part of our Commercial Sales Team, you will align your sales plans to grow our division’s most important commercial business initiatives with our largest customers. Your plan around strong development of our business, your team, and our customers must be aligned with our goal tree, and our department priorities. You’ll partner with other leaders and business units who are associated with our clinical demand generation strategy to activate and drive key initiatives to get outstanding work done.

Job Requirements

  • Manage a team strategy with aligned tactics, with the goal of hitting set growth goals based on select initiatives

  • Ensure team members are well equipped to communicate and persuade how our products may improve clinical outcomes to various audiences including sales peers, C-suite leaders, healthcare decision makers, customer commercial teams, and healthcare providers

  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and retain a hardworking market development team members who are motivated to achieve their individual and team growth goals

  • Provide business insight and value to our team and to our customers by encouraging strong customer relationships

  • Ensure your team prioritizes the use of Salesforce.com and ShowPad to accurately supervise sales activity and update account and opportunity information, as appropriate.

  • Nurture strong, lab-neutral reference laboratory and health system counterpart peer relationships to bring key customer takeaways and more thoughtful growth plans to your team

  • Customize innovative solutions, using all resources within our Division to meet business needs that can be scalable and reproducible within your team.

  • Support health systems and reference labs with new test menu rollouts, instrument funnel acceleration.

  • Master and maintain strong product and disease state knowledge that makes you a trusted advisor in your team’s and customers' eyes.

  • Discuss customer feedback internally with Marketing, Operations, and key partners in leadership to uncover existing business limitations and work toward solution delivery.

  • Facilitate internal meetings, providing product information updates, and sharing field intelligence information.

  • Know, comply, and implement applicable corporate and regulatory policies and procedures. Operate in accordance with State / Federal Compliance regulations.

  • Ability to travel, sometimes requiring overnight stays for national, regional, or local team meetings and customer meetings where appropriate.

Hiring Criteria:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Minimum 3 years experience leading a commercial team and/or commercial projects in the healthcare industry with a track record of business growth strongly preferred

  • Previous diagnostic sales or marketing experience strongly preferred

  • Knowledge of / exposure to primary care market or ACOs, IDNs, and Health Systems

  • Knowledge and experience with business software applications (Salesforce.com, MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ShowPad) and virtual communication tools (Webex, MS Teams, etc.)

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Texas is $112,500.00–$155,000.00.
