Role Description:

Play a pivotal role in driving innovative digital solutions by combining your expertise in Full Stack development using React with backend proficiency in Python . This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge education solutions at the intersection of technology and world-class education.

As a Lead Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for leading frontend development and contributing to backend development, leveraging modern technologies such as React, Typescript for frontend development, and utilizing Python and FastAPI for robust backend architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture and prioritization for the front-end track

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to contract FSE team

  • Develop robust and user-friendly using React, Vite, Typescript, JavaScript and Tailwind for the frontend.

  • Design and implement scalable, low-latency backend services using Python, FastAPI, and pydantic to support front-end functionalities.

  • Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic to ensure high availability and data protection measures.

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to architect, develop, and maintain end-to-end solutions.

  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and a passion for learning and adopting new technologies.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to your team and others on the greater team.

  • This role is responsible for other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Minimum of seven years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience in Full Stack Development with expertise in React and Python

  • Experience leading front end development teams.

  • Proficiency in React, and Typescript

  • Hands-on experience with Python building scalable backend services and APIs

  • Consistent focus on quality through observability, error handling, performance monitoring, unit testing, and end-to-end testing.

  • Critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Prior involvement in developing secure web applications and familiarity with application vulnerabilities.

We consider hybrid to be a combination of remote and 3 days per week onsite work at our Boston, MA based campus.

Specific hours and days onsite will be determined by business needs and are subject to change with appropriate advanced notice.
