Description

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Camarillo, California. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing journal entries, reconciling general ledger and subsidiary accounts, and preparing monthly financial statements. This role also involves analyzing and reconciling expenditure and revenue accounts, assisting with budget preparation, and performing professional accounting work. Must have an active or inactive CPA license.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts

• Prepare monthly financial statements and distribute monthly revenue and expenditure reports to departments

• Analyze and reconcile expenditure and revenue accounts

• Make wire transfers and journal funding transfers and reconcile monthly bank statements

• Calculate and prepare reimbursement billings and track receivables; reconcile monthly accounts receivable

• Prepare audit schedules for external auditors and act as a liaison between the company and auditors

• Assist with the preparation of the annual and mid-year budgets

• Assist with fiscal year-end and fixed asset accounting

• Assist company personnel with budget questions, proper expenditure coding, document processing, and other accounting related activities

• Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as necessary.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Sr. Accountant or in a similar role

• CPA Designation or a Current CPA License Required

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required

• Must have extensive knowledge and experience in handling General Ledger and Journal Entries

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and other relevant software is necessary

• Should be able to efficiently handle Month End Close procedures

• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills are required

• Must be detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively

• Should demonstrate strong ethical standards and integrity in all work-related situations
