Robert Half Plant Controller in Camarillo, California

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Plant Controller in the manufacturing industry, located in Camarillo, California. The role will be pivotal in overseeing financial management, contributing significantly to both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Generate comprehensive financial statements and reports to accurately reflect the plant's financial performance.

• Develop and implement budgets and financial forecasts to guide decision-making and ensure financial stability.

• Monitor costs, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency.

• Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard plant assets and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.

• Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to management.

• Manage inventory levels, assess inventory valuations, and ensure accurate inventory reporting.

• Coordinate audits and work with auditors to facilitate the audit process and address any findings.

• Lead a team of financial professionals within the plant, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

• Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and other financial software to streamline processes and enhance data accuracy.

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements applicable to the manufacturing industry. Requirements

• Must possess at least 5 years of experience in a Plant Controller role or similar position.

• Proficiency in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Cost Accounting is essential.

• Expertise in Financial Reporting is necessary.

• Must have experience in Budgeting and Forecasting.

• A deep understanding of Internal Control is required.

• Experience in Cost Management is necessary.

• Must have a background in Audit and Operational Audit.

• Familiarity with all Applicable Regulatory Requirements is essential.

• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

• Must have strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is ideal but not required

• CPA or CMA certification is a plus but not required

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Must demonstrate a high level of integrity and professionalism.
