Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Camarillo, California

Description

Robert Half is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role will involve processing bi-weekly payroll, tracking employee time and attendance, and maintaining accurate employee records. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and administer bi-weekly payroll through ADP in collaboration with the finance department

• Address payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely manner

• Track and monitor employee time and attendance, and process time-off requests

• Maintain accurate and organized employee records in compliance with confidentiality requirements

• Develop and maintain HR policies, procedures, and internal HR documents

• Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires and manage offboarding procedures

• Lead benefits enrollment processes and assist employees with benefits-related inquiries

• Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and development programs, and assist in tracking employee training completion

• Administer for all Workers’ Compensation claims and work closely with adjusters, brokers and carriers to ensure reduction of claims

• Perform various ad hoc administrative tasks, such as responding to emails and maintaining office supplies

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in 401k and RRSP Administration

• Knowledge and experience in Payroll management

• Familiarity with Human Resources (HR) Administration

• Experience with ADP Financial Services

• Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive payroll information

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role would be advantageous

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is desirable.
