We are excited to be seeking a Maintenance Technician, a position within our Madera, California team. The Opportunity ... The Maintenance Technician takes responsibility to safely and efficiently diagnose and repair machinery throughout the facility. Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, mechanical problems with equipment as directed Identify components or parts that need repair or replacement, Secure parts and schedule with production for machine availability to perform work. Responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks. (e.g. carpentry; electrical; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, plumbing, etc.) Must operate aerial lift, scissor lift and forklift to service cranes and shop lighting. Must understand and have a strong demonstrated commitment to safety to include LOTO procedures. Lead and manage all assigned Facilities maintenance projects employee is assigned Operate within local organization and accomplish work within existing systems and under supervision Adhere to all safety and environmental compliance requirements on site and in field activities Lead all assigned projects to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost initiative goals are met Control and optimize any maintenance departmental spending against assigned budgets Continually evaluate equipment for improvement areas Execute all assigned projects to be completed on time, and on budget Drive Continuous Improvement in all enterprise areas using Lean principles Why work at JBT ... HS Diploma or equivalent experience in a Maintenance field Candidate should possess 3 to 5 years of Maintenance experience Must be familiar with machining and fabrication procedures. Ability to communicate a complete understanding of complex production processes, practices, and techniques Read, interpret and apply blueprint and wiring schematic information Read, interpret, and apply complex technical information, specification, drawings, and processes Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must be customer service oriented. Ability to understand and follow directions as given. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
