Job Description

The Medical Assistant is responsible for various clinical and administrative tasks. Duties include rooming patients and

accurately taking and recording vitals such as height, weight, temperature, and blood pressure.

The role also involves inputting prescription refills and managing the front desk. This includes patient registration, verifying

insurance coverage, and scheduling appointments both in person and over the phone. Additionally, the assistant will be responsible

for asking screening questions to ensure the safety of the clinic and its patients and facilitating appropriate testing.

Hard Skills

  • Medical Assistant certification

  • Experience in urgent care settings

  • Proficient in taking and recording vitals.

  • Experience with Med Connect EMRs

Soft Skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask.

  • High attention to detail.

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in California, Maryland.
