Job Description

At Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire, the Reservations & Revenue Analyst will provide support to the Director, Revenue Management with maintenance of revenue related systems, ad-hoc analysis, and strategy implementation, while also supporting the day-to-day Reservations operation. This role will work directly with the Director, Revenue Management and the Reservations team to optimize room revenue and foster revenue focused approaches and mindsets.

As part of the INSPIRE program, you will spend 18 months learning the ins-and-outs of the Reservations department and Revenue Management. This program offers you an opportunity to start your Accor & Fairmont career journey with the goal of enabling new and recent graduates to build your leadership foundation through meaningful experiences.

What you will be doing:

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

  • Assist in supporting all aspects of the Reservations department and ensure all service standards are followed

  • Supports customer loyalty and property’s brand standards by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience

  • Maintaining and responding to all requests received in the Reservations email and OTA inboxes

  • Processes all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone

  • Handles guest complaints and disputes following appropriate procedures

  • Coordinates with Sales and Catering to process rooming lists and other types of group blocks

  • Ensure that contracted group blocks are open for sale, groups are being picked up, and potential attrition charges are communicated

  • Retrieve/prepare daily Revenue Management reports

  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports as required 

  • In collaboration with Sales & Catering, ensure contracted group rates and room allotments are properly inputted in CI/TY

  • Responsible for setting up proper billing accounts according to accounting policies

  • Ensure daily communication between Reservations and Front Office regarding inventory, short-term sell strategies, and Group/Convention arrivals

  • Monitors same day selling procedures to maximize room revenue and control property occupancy

  • Monitor booking pace for all market segments, and assist in drafting strategies to maximize revenues

  • Analyze competitive set pricing and yield strategies, gaining the ability to predict the comp set reaction to changes in the marketplace

  • Utilizes all available on-the-job training tools

  • Stay current with industry trends and how they may impact demand

  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Revenue Management

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Post-Secondary Education in either a Hospitality, Business, Economics, or Revenue Management program is required

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, is required

  • Previous Reservations, Front Office, Revenue Management, or Analyst experience considered an asset

  • Prior experience working with a Property Management system is an asset

  • Detail oriented, and extremely accurate in data entry skills

  • Communicate thoughts, actions and opportunities clearly (both written & verbal) with proven networking/interpersonal skills

  • Results orientated, positive outlook, attention to detail with ability to drive projects forward

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Proven ability to build and maintain good relationships with all stakeholders

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects under time constraint
