Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Manager to join an established midstream company on a 15 month contract, starting in September 2024 until December 2025. This team has initiated a comprehensive program to migrate the majority of on-prem servers to the Cloud (Azure). A key program element is to reconfigure and decommission 2 of 4 IT data centers (one located in Canada, one in the US). This team is seeking a skilled PM to lead the data center decommissioning project and support the cloud migration program as required. This role requires candidates to sit local to Calgary and are expected to work in office Tuesday-Thursday.

Some day-to-day responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

 - Collaborate with various technical, architecture and business leads to identify and categorize the HW in each data center

 - Work with technical, network and cloud architecture leads to build the decommission plan and HW reduction plan in alignment with the cloud migration program

 - Support network engineering and build the project plan to remove / reallocate / reuse / recycle HW from the data centers

 - Coordinate with stakeholders, business owners, and the IS Infrastructure, Solution Delivery and InfoSec teams to define the scope, objectives, and timeline of the data center decommission project

 - Manage and report on project budget, resources and deliverables

• Identify and resolve any conflicts or dependencies that may arise during the project lifecycle

Skills and Requirements

Must-have Qualifications:

 - 7+ years' experience working in Project Management with previous experience in IT infrastructure and data center decommissioning

 - Experience in working within an Agile methodology

 - Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and services, ideally with Azure.

 - Ability to coordinate and work with cross-functional teams
