IBM Application Developer - Cloud Modernization in Calgary, Alberta

Your role and responsibilities

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Strong programming skills in Java, C#, .NET, JavaScript, Python, with hands-on experience in frameworks like React, Angular, and Node.js.

Solid experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Familiarity with mobile development for iOS/Android using Swift, Kotlin, or React Native.

Exposure to Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to work within Agile teams.

Good understanding of AI and GenAI concepts (e.g., generative models, NLP, and deep learning) and practical experience is a plus.

Knowledge of machine learning techniques and tools such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to optimize code for performance and scalability.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate in team-oriented environments.

Required technical and professional expertise

Preferred Skills:

Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools like Git.

Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and data management practices.

Understanding of containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Working on Linux

Preferred technical and professional experience

Legally eligible to work in Canada

Willingness to relocate to Calgary
