Mount St. Dominic Academy Alumnae Relations & Development Coordinator in Caldwell, New Jersey

Mount St. Dominic Academy is an independent 9-12 all-girls high school, sponsored by the Sisters of Saint Dominic. The school is uniquely situated in western Essex County and draws from The Caldwells, West Essex, Cedar Grove, Verona, Montclair, Glen Ridge, as well as Bloomfield, Belleville, Newark, and The Oranges. We seek resumes from qualified individuals of diverse backgrounds interested in the Development & Alumnae Relations Coordinator position, who will openly uphold and demonstrate the mission, vision, and core values of Mount St. Dominic Academy.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of the Alumnae Relations & Development Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following:●Manage the Alumnae Relations function with the goal of increasing and diversifying community engagement for events, fundraising and connection to the Mount.●Plan and implement programs and events designed to cultivate and engage Mount alumnae including reunions, receptions and other in-person and virtual opportunities.●Develop and implement a communications plan to regularly inform alumnae of Mount news and activities of other Mount graduates, which employ a variety of media, including existing programs such as Facebook, LinkedIn, the Mount website, the Alumnae magazine, correspondence, as well as new electronic or printed media.●Create opportunities for extended alumnae engagement to include parents of alumnae.●Advance the MSDA Alumnae mentorship program within the LEO Program and Capstone course by identifying relevant alumnae mentor partnerships and facilitating appropriate connections.●Research and secure Alumnae guest speakers for various MSDA events including but not limited to International Day of the Girl, International Womens’ Day, Black History Month, National Hispanic Heritage Month, the LEO Pinning Ceremony.●Oversee and create content for the MSDA Alumnae social media channels including Facebook and LinkedIn; contribute alumnae-focused content to The Mount Magazine and quarterly e-newsletter.●Serve as part of the Development team in support of major programs and activities including The Mount Fund annual fundraising campaign, 5K fundraisers and other events as needed.●Additional responsibilities include budget management, expansion of the alumnae database, and oversight of the school archives.Candidate should possess demonstrated success in:●Verbal and written communication skills●Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building●Ability to engage and excite alumnae and volunteers●Computer skills, including familiarity with Google Workspace / familiarity with nonprofit CRM software a plusEducation / Experience:●Bachelor’s Degree required●Three or more years of experience in development, community/alumnae relations or advancement or similar field and enthusiasm and interest in event planning●Work experience in a non-profit and / or educational setting a plusPhysical Requirements:●Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer●Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds●Ability to travel in support of regional alumnae events (up to 15%)
