Oracle Senior Project Manager in CAIRO, Egypt

Job Description

Role Description:

As a Senior Project Manager at Oracle Consulting, you will oversee the successful delivery of consulting projects from Pre-Sales / Sales handover to completion. Your key role involves project planning, risk management, resource allocation, change management, and ensuring that projects align with the project’s objectives and client requirements. You will lead multiple project teams, coordinate with various stakeholders, and ensure that project deliverables meet the highest quality standards within the specified timeline and budget.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning and Initiation:
  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

  • Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  1. Team Leadership and Coordination:
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, including developers, analysts, testers, and consultants.

  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project managers and team members.

  1. Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.

  • Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.

  • Manage client relationships and foster long-term partnerships.

  1. Execution and Delivery:
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.

  • Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement corrective actions when necessary.

  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and client requirements.

  1. Budget and Resource Management:
  • Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and optimal resource utilization.

  • Allocate and manage project resources effectively to meet project objectives.

  • Conduct regular financial reviews and report on project financial performance.

  • Project revenue forecast, Financial reporting, planning and control

  1. Risk and Issue Management:
  • Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation and contingency plans.

  • Escalate critical issues to senior management when necessary.

  1. Process Improvement:
  • Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and methodologies.

  • Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects.

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project teams.

Qualifications:

  1. Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • A master's degree or MBA is preferred.

  1. Experience:
  • At least 8-10 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software projects.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.

  • Experience working in a consulting environment, preferably with Oracle products and solutions.

  1. Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is required is a plus.

  • Agile and Scrum certifications are highly desirable.

  1. Technical Skills:
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Trello).

  • Knowledge of Oracle software solutions and technologies is a plus.

  1. Soft Skills:
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

  1. Language Proficiency:
  • Fluency in English is required.

  • Proficiency in French is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals. Contributes to statements of work, work breakdown structures and/or level of effort and staff plans. Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers. Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge. Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team. Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions. Anticipates project risks and suggest risk mitigation to project manager. Resolves complex customer issues by recommending solutions. Demonstrates expertise in multiple business processes across two or more product families or ability to architect and design technology solutions encompassing multiple products.
