    About The Job

    Dudek is seeking a Project Manager with eight, or more, years of experience in water resources (surface water) engineering. The ideal candidate has flood plain modeling experience as well as project management experience including development and adherence to project budgets and schedules. Candidates will contribute to and gain experience from Dudek’s qualified team to respond to request for proposals, deliver quality work, build relationships and engage in professional growth opportunities.

    Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below): 

  • Lead stormwater task orders or projects.

  • Conduct site inspections and field investigations to gather data necessary or project designs.

  • Develop engineering design and contract documents including plans, specifications, and estimates.

  • Provide technical support during construction phase of projects.

  • Prepare reports includes feasibility studies and engineering analysis to support project design and implementation.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that project milestones and deadlines are met.

  • Provide technical guidance and present information to colleagues, clients, agency staff, teaming partners, and other project stakeholders.

  • Support project pursuits, including proposal preparation, for stormwater projects.

  • Participate in professional organizations, conferences, and other industry events to stay informed about the latest trends, industry standards, and best practices in stormwater engineering.

  • Participate in business development efforts, including the development of proposals, participation in interviews, and successful contract negotiations.

  • Collaborate with experts across disciplines to promote multi-objective solutions.

  • Mentor and support the professional development of other engineers.

    Minimum Requirements

  • BS in civil or environmental engineering.

  • Minimum of 8 year of professional experience in stormwater engineering

  • California Professional Engineers license

  • Technical understanding of grading, site civil design, hydrology and hydraulics analysis, floodplain analysis, and/or storm drain design.

  • Strong technical writing and communication skills

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.

  • Service-oriented, motivated self-starter with sound business practices.

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by first day of employment

    • As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre - employment drug test and background check.

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical understanding of stormwater management requirements related to California municipal, industrial, and construction National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) programs.

  • Technical understanding of stormwater BMP design and performance.

  • Experience with modeling and design software including: ArcGIS, AES/CIVILD, HEC-RAS, FLO-2D, SWMM, and AutoCAD.

    Working Conditions:

  • This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.

  • This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles and equipment.

  • This job requires working on a computer, sitting or standing for long periods of time in an office or remote office setting.

  • This job requires attending meetings, both in person and virtually as well as speaking on the phone with peers, clients, etc. Speaking, hearing and listening are required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

    Proposed Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000 annually *

    *Final agreed upon compensation will be based on a variety of factors including but not limited to an individual’s related experience, education, certifications, skills, and work location.
