SUMMARY

The Sales Operations Account Manager manages the quoting and order processes for assigned accounts. The Account Manager serves to deeply understand the customer’s needs and navigates the path to meet those needs. The Account Manger provides excellent communication with not only the customer/account but also with internal process owners to ensure the requirements are properly distributed. Responsible for all follow up and problem resolution for internal and external process for your accounts. This person is passionate about customer service and providing best in class support to our internal and external customers.

The Account Manager maintains pertinent customer information such as Forecast information, order/potential order planning, to provide the internal process owners with information to pre-plan and ensure successful achievements of customer needs. As a result of providing great service and having a deep understanding of the customer needs, an expectation of the Account Manager is to increase sales through their accounts. This position reports directly to the Sales Operations Lead.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Act as the key interface between the customer and all relevant divisions.

  • Point person on critical requests or issues that escalate.

  • Gathers and provides all account order information for order entry.

  • Track account metrics, prepares forecasts and schedules to make sure that products and projects are accurate, ready, and on time for delivery.

  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts and customer stakeholders.

  • Coordinates with the sales and operational team to ensure customer needs are addressed

  • Completes strategic customer account plans that meet company standards.

  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis.

  • Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel.

  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings that meet company standards.

  • Possesses and continues to develop expert product knowledge in order to guide the customer towards the optimum solution.

  • Responsible for the effective on-boarding of new clients.

  • Identify, evaluate and implement new tools and solutions to ensure continuous improvements and increase customer satisfaction.

  • Troubleshoots and uses structured problem solving approach to meet customer demands.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Minimum 3-5 years of proven account management or customer service experience, in commercial markets preferred.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
