Job Description

CoStar Group, a leading provider of real-time commercial real estate data, is seeking Associate Tenant Researchers. In this role, you will investigate and profile tenants occupying commercial spaces in a specific geographic market. Key responsibilities include contributing to database management, conducting phone interviews with industry professionals, conducting market research, building client relationships, data analysis, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and Profile Tenants: You will be responsible for researching and creating profiles on commercial tenants, which helps owners, brokers, and real estate professionals make informed decisions regarding their properties.

  • Phone Interviews: Conduct a minimum of 2 hours of phone interviews each day with tenants, owners, and real estate professionals managing or occupying commercial spaces.

  • Web Research: Use online research to compile comprehensive profiles of commercial tenants and key decision makers within these businesses.

  • Document Tenant Movement: Track and document tenant movement within the geographical market, helping to maintainaccurate and up-to-date records.

  • Maintain Tenant Rosters: Ensure that tenant rosters for various commercial buildings are complete and accurate.

  • Investigate Leads: Investigate new property and tenant leads to expand the company's database.

  • Profile Corporate Structure: Document and profile the corporate structure of the commercial tenants you research.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Enrollment in Bachelor's Program: Candidates should be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date of May 2024.

  • Customer Service Experience: At least 8 months of experience in a customer service environment is required.

  • Excel Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 365 is necessary for this role.

  • GPA : Must have a 3.0 GPA or above.

  • Shift Flexibility: The ability to work flexible shifts aligned with Eastern Time (ET), Central Time (CT), Mountain Time (MT), and Pacific Time (PT) zones.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people quickly and professionally over the phone.

  • Performance Metrics: Proven success in meeting or exceeding metrics and key performance indicators (KPI).

  • Research Skills: Natural curiosity, persistence, and the ability to conduct thorough investigative research.

  • Excel Proficiency: Experience and demonstratedproficiency with Excel, including the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas.

  • Data Entry: Capability to accurately capture and enter data.

  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities, handle changing priorities, and excel in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Self-Motivation: Being self-motivated and goal-oriented is a valuable trait for this role.
