Ebenezer Ridges Care Center is part of afull continuum of care campus including Transitional Care, Adult Day Programs, Child Care, Long Term Care, Enhanced Care and Assisted Living/Memory Care. We are located across the street from Fairview Ridges Hospital, conveniently located at the I-35E and I-35W split in Burnsville.

The Therapeutic Recreation Assistant welcomes new admissions, completes Admission Paperwork, reviews Welcome Packet, and provides a welcoming transition to the Transitional Care Unit. Serves as the TCU hospitality liaison,manages and completes the Truth Point Satisfaction Surveys for Long-Term and Transitional Care. Promotes and facilitates quality leisure and social opportunities for patients on the Transitional Care Unit. This position offers on call (.01 FTE/1 hour PPD) day and evening shifts with every other weekend opportunity.

Responsibilities/Job Description

  • Greets, orients, and interviews new patients and their families

  • Serves as the hospitality liaison for TCU patient and families

  • Provides resources for leisure opportunities and activities for patients

  • Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations regarding medical record documentation and participation

  • Supervises recreational check-out desk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Rec, Music Therapy or related field preferred

  • One to three years previous experience preferred
