What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for month-end duties, including journal entries, accruals, etc. to produce accurate and timely financial statements for dealership (s).

  • Responsible for review/cross review monthly financial statements. Reconcile accounting schedules monthly

  • Post vehicle deals for designated dealership(s) including new, used, wholesale, dealer trades and fleet.

    • Post, follow up, reconcile all vehicle related transactions and schedules, such as vehicle invoices, commission, accounts receivable for vehicle sales, factory program money, flooring payout, etc.
  • Inventory schedule reconciliation and recording adjustments to accounting records.

  • Reconcile and prepare cheque requisition for remittances: extended warranty, credit life and disability insurance. Send contract in-transit to manufacturers and financial institutions.

  • Post EFT payments and contract proceeds.

  • Bank Reconciliation

  • Prepare Monthly Expense review file

  • Other duties as may be assigned which fall within the nature of the role.

What we need from you:

  • Prior automotive deal processing experience is required.

  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed.

  • Excellent judgement, high discretion and confidentiality.

  • Ability to be flexible and respond to changing priorities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of CDK accounting software is preferred.
