Description We are in search of a diligent Payroll Clerk to join our team in the Government sector, based in Burlington, Washington. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity, where you will be tasked with managing payroll related tasks, handling data entry, and ensuring accuracy in all processes.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct data entry tasks related to time cards to ensure accurate payroll processing.

• Undertake the manual process for time cards, maintaining a high level of precision.

• Assist in the calculation of Union Dues as per the guidelines.

• Utilize your understanding of Collective Bargaining Agreements to ensure compliance.

• Serve as a backup for payroll processing, stepping in when needed to ensure continuity.

• Cross check time cards to verify the accuracy of data entered.

• Use Abila MIP software for payroll processing, transitioning to PayNW when required.

• Apply your skills in Financial Reconciliation to reconcile payroll and time cards.

• Handle garnishment calculations as per legal and company regulations.

• Streamline processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Requirements • Minimum of two years of experience in a payroll clerk role or similar

• Proficiency in managing manual payroll processes

• Experience with Abila MIP software or similar payroll systems

• Proven ability to perform financial reconciliation tasks accurately

• Strong data entry skills, particularly with numeric data

• Familiarity with handling time cards for employee hours tracking

• Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and their impact on payroll

• Experience with garnishment calculations

• Knowledge of union dues and how they apply to employee payroll

• Ability to work effectively within the government sector

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
