Posting Summary

The UVM Center on Rural Addictions ( CORA ) is an HRSA -funded Center in the UVM Larner College of Medicine aimed at identifying, translating, disseminating and implementing science-based practices to address the rural OUD epidemic, as well as future drug epidemics as they emerge. Center faculty and staff aim to provide scientific consultation, technical assistance and supporting resources in evidence-based treatment and prevention to rural providers and staff as well as other interested parties across multiple states.

Support and provide general oversight for administrative functions and business operations of the UVM Center on Rural Addictions ( CORA ), which provides scientific consultation, technical assistance and supporting resources in evidence-based treatment and prevention to rural providers and other interested parties across the country. Assist with implementing, assessing, and revising a multi-year plan of proposed center activities and outputs. Coordinate, track and synchronize center information and activities across all four Center Cores with potential for expansion to national outreach. Assist Center leadership with creating and administering Center and Core budgets. Work in coordination with Center leadership to monitor compliance with IRB , HRSA and other regulatory reporting as well as prepare required reports prior to submission to the funding agency, university and other organizations. Support Center faculty and staff to ensure seamless delivery of center services, taking care to ensure consistency across all center cores while also helping to identify and address unique core-specific needs as they arise. Coordinate with the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health Central Administration and Sponsored Projects Administration. Support Center leadership’s strategy about Center priorities and future directions. Liaise with a diverse range of local, regional, and national partners.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two to three years’ experience supporting lab or center operations and/or administering center or project budgets, ideally in the areas of clinical research, medicine or public health. Proficiency with project management software, word processing and financial spreadsheets.

Desirable Qualifications

Knowledge in area of Public Health, Psychology or related disciplines is a strength. Prior experience with evidence-based interventions for opioid and other substance use disorders is highly desirable.

Anticipated Pay Range $25/hour - $31/hour

Other Information

Special Conditions Contingent on continued funding, Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Bargaining unit position, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy, Background Check required for this position
