Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Faculty Position
The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences is seeking a full time faculty member to complement our robust Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division in our clinical scholar pathway. The ideal candidate will have a committed academic interest, and will demonstrate productivity in educational scholarship or a clinical or basic research area, have a collegial manner and excellent clinical skills in IVF and reproductive surgery.
The Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Division and Center for Reproductive Medicine currently includes 3 full-time board certified REI physicians and a growing complex fertility and IVF practice with a full- time onsite Ph.D. laboratory director. The practice includes fertility preservation, robust reproductive surgery, reproductive endocrinology referral clinics, and support for pediatric and adolescent endocrinology and gynecology patients. Clinical REI fellow training is a focus of the division for the entire faculty and the program takes one fellow a year in the NRMP with three active fellows. Urologic infertility subspecialists see patients with the REI fellows in the Center for Reproductive Medicine and pediatric and medical endocrinology specialists are collaborators within UVMMC along with a full range of other colleagues and collaborators across the medical center and the university. NIH supports current faculty in research programs related to ovarian physiology, fertility and menopause. They also participate in local and national medical and educational organizations. Additional NIH supported investigations are ongoing within the department; examining pregnancy associated vascular physiology, uterine physiology, menopause, and reproductive immunology. Academic rank is open, salary and benefits will be competitive and consistent with experience. Preference is for an individual at the Assistant/Associate/Professor rank who is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology with an ABOG certificate of special expertise in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Board eligible candidates in REI will be considered.
