Kelly Services Part-Time Bookkeeper in Burlington, Ontario

Our high-profile client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team in Toronto, ON, (Queensway/Islington area). The ideal candidate will be proficient in using Business Vision accounting software and possess strong organizational skills. This role requires a commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work independently. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation.

  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including preparing and issuing invoices.

  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.

  • Enter and update financial transactions in Business Vision accounting software.

  • Prepare financial reports and statements as needed.

  • Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements.

  • Monitor budgets and report any discrepancies.

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

  • Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other financial audits.

  • Provide support for month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Collaborate with the Controller and other team members to improve financial procedures and systems.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Business Vision accounting software is mandatory.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive financial information.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • This is a part-time position requiring 2 days in office working 6 hours per day, hours could increase.

  • Flexible scheduling options are available, but consistency and reliability are key.
