Position Summary:

The Regional Planner is responsible for identifying, through analysis of both internal and external data, regional opportunities that cross businesses, and optimizing seasonal transitions by region across the company. In addition, the Planner will work to provide total region, and associated product-level guidance to Location Planning Teams, as part of the pre-season planning and in-season trending processes. The Planner will build a strong working relationship with the Location Planning teams in order to align around regional opportunities, and drive successful execution against them.

With the intent to align with our customers’ needs, the Regional Planner will also be responsible for identifying opportunities to adjust regional flow to be more congruent in like-businesses across the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, Execute, and Optimize Regional Opportunities

• Identifies, quantifies, and details regional opportunities, through a global lens, improving seasonal businesses across the store, and optimizing product flow by region and time of year

• Aligns with Manager on Regional Strategies, Plans, and Forecasts on a regular basis; provides total region guidance to Location Planning Teams both pre-season and in-season, ensuring consistent communication of regional priorities

• Identifies opportunities and proactively communicates product penetration distortion recommendations to Manager to maximize regional sales and profitability.

• Leverage hindsight learnings and incorporate into pre-season and in-season planning

• Reviews flow flags and challenges when flow flags are not congruent across businesses/rack

Drive Results Through Partnership Across Organization

• Partners with Location Planning teams to ensure alignment and successful execution against identified regional opportunities

• Solicits and performs regional ad-hoc analysis when needed to assist in cross-functional partners’ decision-making processes

• Partners with Total Store team to understand and incorporate impact of store-specific strategies in regional guidance

Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Minimum 5 years related work experience in Planning, with experience in Regional or Location Planning preferred
