Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Burlington, North Carolina. The successful candidate will join our team in a workplace that thrives in the telecom industry. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for a broad range of accounting functions, using various accounting software systems and tools.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems such as ADP - Financial Services, Concur, Great Plains (GPAC), and Microsoft Excel to perform various accounting functions.

• Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and on time.

• Perform billing functions and check processing, ensuring all invoices are issued and payments are received in a timely manner.

• Use iPayables and LEED Accounts Payable for payable invoices and weekly account payable management.

• Manage payroll functions using ADP - Payroll, Automated Payroll, Benefits Payroll, and other related systems.

• Ensure compliance with payroll laws and manage payroll tax deposits, payroll tax reporting, and payroll tax returns.

• Reconcile payroll and manage special payroll deductions.

• Use HR Payroll System, HRIS Payroll System, and SAP HR Payroll for employee payroll management.

• Process bi-weekly and weekly payroll ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.

• Handle year-end payroll duties, ensuring all payroll activities are closed out accurately for the fiscal year. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Proficiency in Concur and Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Billing Functions and Check Processing

• Experience with iPayables and LEED Accounts Payable

• Ability to handle Payable Invoices and Weekly Account Payable

• Experience with ADP - Payroll and Automated Payroll

• Knowledge of Benefits Payroll and Bi-Monthly Payroll

• Familiarity with Canadian Payroll and Ceridian Payroll System

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus

• Experience with Full Cycle Payroll, HR Payroll System, and HRIS Payroll System

• Experience with Payroll software and Payroll Management

• Knowledge of Payroll Tax Deposits, Payroll Tax Reporting, and Payroll Tax Returns

• Ability to handle Payroll Transactions and work with Payroll Vendor

• Experience with SAP HR Payroll and Workday Payroll

• Ability to process Bi-weekly Payroll and Reconcile Payroll

• Knowledge of Year-end Payroll procedures

• Proficiency in handling Multi-state Payroll and International Payroll

• Knowledge of Payroll Law and Payroll Compliance Professional certification is a plus.
